This is my first time to participate in Floral Friday, and I’m so happy to have discovered it! (Especially during weeks like this when getting a blog post written seems to take an act of Congress….and we know how productive those folks are!)
I took this photo this morning….a beautiful Zucchini blossom. It’s so sunny and cheerful. The fact that this flower indicates a yummy squash will soon be in the making is even better!
This was my first year to use raised garden beds, and start all of my veggies from seeds from SeedsNow – all organic, Non-GMO, Non-Hybrid and FABULOUS! Just picked my first zucchini’s this week and I’ll be cooking them up with some yellow Crooknecks I harvested as well! Oh My YUM!
oh wow, so pretty.

Isn’t it? No wonder the Native Americans used squash blossoms so much in their art…

Yes, it’s a lovely flower! Last year I started my vegetable garden, nothing better than get our own food from it, clean, organic, as all the gifts from Nature.

So true, Elizabeth! We built four raised beds this year, and I planted everything from seed. It’s been a wonderful experience! :)

I love the crinkly texture of the flower; somehow makes it more beautiful. It looks almost leathery! Someday I will have a garden… one can dream.
